Preparing for the first week back-to-school this year was challenging.  Not only was I responsible for ensuring that all my boys, even my 2 babies in Daycare, had there 2 pairs of shoes (indoor and outdoor), new wardrobes (their growth never seizes to amaze me over just a few months), – I also was returning to work after spending 1 year off on Maternity Leave (a much deserved and appreciated time spent with my sweethearts).  This was a big thing for me, as this was the first time that I spent a full year dedicated to taking care of my newborn and the rest of my family.  I’ll elaborate more another time, because I want to focus on the preparation involved, both mentally and physically, in order to have successfully made the transition as smooth as possible for my boys and I.

First came the mental preparation.  This consisted of starting to remind myself in the beginning of summer to live it up and enjoy, as work was commencing soon.  This was easy, because I was looking forward to spending the first summer uninterrupted by work or school with my kids ever!
